Bregal Helps Initiative
With the support of Bregal‘s leadership and the COFRA Foundation, the Bregal Helps Initiative (“BHI”) has distributed over €4.2 million to charitable organizations since 2020, via our portfolio companies.

GRANTED SINCE INCEPTION
In response to the global pandemic, Bregal‘s senior management team and partners, together with the COFRA Foundation, launched the Bregal Helps Initiative in 2020. The effort was launched with the mission of assisting Bregal portfolio companies in their objectives to support local communities affected by COVID-19.
Bregal continued to grow this program in 2022 with a specific focus on three pillars: (i) Diversity and Inclusion; (ii) Community Development; and (iii) Education, Skills, and Career Mobility.
Diversity and Inclusion
Support portfolio companies in addressing issues of diversity and inclusion, whether related to race, gender, or other protected characteristics, specific to our portfolio companies and their communities.
Community Development
Aid portfolio companies and their supported charities to provide key services such as healthcare, shelter, and nutrition - to ensure such services can be maintained and accessed by those in need.
Education, Skills, and Mobility
Help portfolio companies to drive education and career improvement efforts in the local communities via charitable organizations that enable access to quality education and skills development.
Diversity and Inclusion
Supporting portfolio companies in addressing issues of diversity and inclusion, whether related to race, gender, or other protected characteristics, specific to our portfolio companies and their communities.
Fondazione Danelli
Specialisterne is a non-profit dedicated to creating meaningful employment for at least 1 million neurodivergent individuals. Active in Italy since 2017, the foundation champions for equal opportunities and workplace inclusion. For this project, Specialisterne is supported by Fondazione Danelli, which brings over 30 years of experience in the sector.

Community Development
Aiding portfolio companies and their supported charities to provide key services such as healthcare, shelter, and nutrition - to ensure such services can be maintained and accessed by those in need.

Tampa Bay Watch Florida
Tampa Bay Watch is dedicated to the habitat restoration and protection of the Tampa Bay estuary through activities such as salt marsh plantings, storm drain markings, oyster bar creation, coastal clean ups, and wildlife protection.

Habitat Restoration: 410 oyster reef balls have been installed, 60 tons of oyster shell reefs have been deployed, and 4,500 coastal plants have been planted to support diverse ecosystems.
Volunteering Impact: 138 volunteers have supported this project so far, with an additional 300 expected to participate by Summer 2025.

Go Fund
The GO Fund (Global Opportunity Fund) empowers vulnerable women and children in Africa with the skills, resources and opportunities they need to break the cycle of poverty.

SERVED TO 15 HOUSE-BOUND WOMEN
with severe disabilities or in extreme poverty through the program
Infrastructure Funding: Two-story poultry coop for 2,000 chickens and a cow shed for 12 cows.
Meals on Wheels: 600 meals served to 15 house-bound women with severe disabilities or in extreme poverty through the program.
Participation: 15 local women engaged as active participants in the program, supporting community-based care and empowerment.

Helping portfolio companies to drive education and career improvement efforts in the local communities via charitable organizations that enable access to quality education and skills development.
Redstor Academy
Established in 2021, Redstor Academy’s Digital Skills Programme, in partnership with EduTech charity Edunova, equips 400 underprivileged learners aged 13–17 with essential tech skills. The initiative aims to bridge the digital divide, enhance education, and drive economic empowerment through innovation and entrepreneurship.
