Bregal Investments Releases 2023 Responsible Investment Report

Bregal Investments (“Bregal” or the “Company”) published its sixth Responsible Investment Report today, outlining the Company’s continued progress and ambitions relating to responsible investing practices across its four direct strategies and fund-of funds team. 

The report features an overview of Bregal’s annual Responsible Investing progress, including a detailed introduction to our enhanced Climate and Nature Action Plan, an overview of the strategic integration of Responsible Investing throughout the investment lifecycles across our strategies, portfolio company case studies, and success stories from the Bregal Sustainable Development Financing Program, the Bregal Helps Initiative, and our employee philanthropy programs. 

Climate and Nature 

As stated in prior years, we feel strongly that private markets’ investment in nature is an is an important and strategic investment opportunity. With that in mind, in 2023, we were incredibly proud to announce the launch of Bregal Sphere Nature, our first foray into impact investing in the natural capital market. By putting capital to work in nature-based solutions projects, Bregal looks to create long-term value for our investors while simultaneously generating positive environmental and social impacts that will contribute to a more sustainable and climate-resilient future for the world. More broadly, we continue to integrate climate, and more recently nature, into our investment strategy to evaluate and minimize any potential negative impacts from our activities.
